This website was created as a response to covid-19 and its effect on public health. Our core targeted audience is people who are just beginning to engage in self-directed exercise.

The following workouts are designed to be appropriate for all age groups, and are critical, effective exercises. We hope to inspire personal growth and wellbeing through exercise.

Covid-19:

COVID-19 is an infectious disease that causes acute restriction and degradation to the respiratory system. The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei province, and has since spread globally.

"The World Health Organization declared the 2019–20 covid-19 outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020."

Importance of exercise:

• Exercise increases energy levels

• Exercise improves brain function

• Exercise improves muscle strength

• Exercise is good for your heart

• Exercise helps you sleep better

• Exercise reduces likelihood of degenerative bone diseases

• Exercise helps you to maintain a healthy bodyweight

• Exercise can help prevent and treat mental illnesses like depression

• Exercise strengthens your bones and muscles

• Exercise improves brain health and memory

• Exercise increases productivity

Exercise improves respiratory function by:

• Strengthening lungs and increasing lung capacity

• Providing more oxygen to body, including organs and muscles

• Speeding up recovery better from periods of bed rest and hospitalisation

• Boosting immune system functions

• Reducing the severity of asthma and its symptoms

• Exercise can also reduce the urge to smoke and engage in other unhealthy habits and activities.
